Located in South Seattle, South Shore Court is the renovation of three buildings of the former Douglas Apartments to provide 39 one-bedroom, four 2-bedroom and a 3-bedroom apartment.  The buildings were gutted and totally renovated.  Renovations included new mechanical and electrical systems, new roofs, new siding, new insulated windows, new kitchens and new interior finishes. The project features several innovative energy-saving measures including ultra-efficient LED exterior light fixtures, whole-house fans in each unit, energy efficient windows, and greater exterior insulation.  Solar panels were installed on the roof of one building to power water heaters for two apartment units and the shared laundry room.
