Contractor: M.C. Lundgren Construction, Inc.
Set on a 40,500 square foot site in west Seattle, Santa Teresita del Nino consists of 26 units in four buildings, two townhouse buildings and two small apartment buildings, providing low income housing for families transitioning from homelessness. Included on the site are counseling offices and a community space for residents to gather for events or to attend classes. The steep hillside provided design and construction challenges. The developed site is reminiscent of an Italian hill town, with stairs and ramps connecting courtyards and play area.
