Jubilee House

Project Description

Interior & exterior renovations for transitional housing

Client:  Jubilee Women’s Center, Seattle, Washington

Built as a convent in 1959, Jubilee Women’s Center was substantially renovated to provide transitional housing for 27 formerly homeless women in a facility that includes common living spaces, offices for administrative and support staff, classroom space for life skills and computer training and a thrift store for work and interview appropriate clothing.  Work included full structural, elevator, and systems upgrades; new energy systems; and creating a comfortable, home-like environment with natural and sustainable finishes chosen for long term durability.
